Your Morning Routine
How much do you think about your morning routine?
It’s possible that your answer is not much!
But I would guess this: You DO think about how you typically feel when you wake up. You may be groggy, bitter that you have to end your cozy slumber, and filled with a sense of dread when you think about the day ahead of you. You are flooded with thoughts of the many tasks you have to take care of; they feel like way to much. Worse yet, you don’t know where to start.
How do you decide what it the MOST important task to address?
So what happens?
You hit that snooze but again and again, wishfully imagining that the situation will be different the NEXT time your alarm rings. Sadly, it’s not. The cycle repeats until you eventually drag your self out of bed. You head for the coffee machine (I’m not knocking that one little bit!) and hope that this elixer of warmth will bring you some clarity. But it doesn’t. So you get lost in social media, thinking that you will see something, ANYTHING, that will get you motivated to start your day.
This doesn’t happen either.
Time goes by, and you eventually drag yourself off the sofa, knowing that you “should” be productive. But you just don’t know how to prioritize. Of all the things clamoring for your attention, what deserves to be addressed first? You can’t determine this answer, so you tackle the low hanging fruit- something easy. Meanwhile, important tasks that significantly impact your life remain undone.
Before you know it the day is done, and you crawl into bed feeling discouraged. Once again you find yourself thinking “what did I actually get done today?” The answer is not much, and just as the day before, you crawl into bed feeling discouraged, ashamed, and somewhat depressed.
I want you to know that this cycle is common among so many; you most certainly are not alone. I also want to reassure you that it does not have to be this way. The problem is you just never learned a routine that works for YOU. A successful morning routine includes some key steps that get your mind and body ready to conquer the day.
I have read numerous books on this topic and created an easy-to-follow guide.
It will show you exactly what to do from the moment the alarm goes off to set yourself up for a productive and enjoyable day, and enables you to crawl into bed at night feeling FANTASTIC about what you accomplished.
You do NOT need to suffer for one more morning.
